04 Oct Housing Act 2004 – How it affects you.

The Housing Act 2004 introduced new legislation that has a major impact in the private rented sector. Although there are many aspects to this Act we would like to inform our landlords of two parts that have a direct impact on the their rented properties. The information in this newsletter has been compiled following much research. This has involved attending legal courses, landlord’s forums with local councils, consultation with solicitors, research via trade press releases and investigation of many recent deposit arbitration case studies. Our objective is to fully inform our landlords so that they are kept up- to-date with the new legislation and thus avoid expensive penalties.
